Access to the electronic databases is for the use of the university community of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus. Many of our databases can be used by Remote Access, which allows our users to use them regardless of where they are, as long as the system does not have a block or Firewall. To be able to make use of these databases, your identification number must be registered in our system, since in this way the system recognizes it and gives you access to it. Some databases are for exclusive use in the CAI of our site and require a password that only authorized personnel can have them. In this case, request assistance from our staff. Due to the licenses of some databases, they do not allow remote access. Books @ Ovid OvidSP (Electronic books) (Health Sciences, Sciences) – On the OvidSP platform, you can perform searches and discoveries in current journals and e-books in full text, as well as bibliographic, multimedia and Open Access information; In addition, you can manage your results and all your research documents.
Business Economics and Theory GALE (Business Administration, Management in Aviation Sciences) – Business Economics and Theory Collection provides access to academic journals and magazines focusing on topics in economics and related fields. The database has an emphasis on titles indexed in the American Economic Association’s EconLit bibliography.

Communications and Mass Media Collection GALE (Communications) – Communications and Mass Media Collection provides access to academic journals and magazines focusing on all aspects of the communications field. Key subjects covered in the database include advertising and public relations, literature and writing, linguistics, and more.
Computer Database GALE (Computing) – Computer Database provides access to leading business and technical publications in the computer, telecommunications, and electronics industries. The database includes computer-related product introductions, news and reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications, and the application of technology.
CONUCO (Puerto Rican Journals Index) (Multidisciplinary) – Index the articles of Journals by its subject. It contains only bibliographic information. It groups the main universities of Puerto Rico.
Criminal Justice Collection GALE (Legal) – Criminal Justice Collection provides access to academic journals and magazines on topics in criminal justice and related fields. Key subjects covered in the database include law, law enforcement, security, and terrorism.
Culinary Arts Collection GALE (Multidisciplinary) – Culinary Arts Collection provides access to academic journals and magazines on all aspects of cooking and nutrition. The database includes thousands of searchable recipes, restaurant reviews, and industry information.
Digitalia Hispánica (Electronic books and Journals) (Multidisciplinary) – Digitalia is a Spanish database of books and electronic journals with high quality content in Spanish. It offers thousands of books of the most prestigious Spanish and Latin American publishers, as well as the most relevant magazines in the different subjects.

Educators Reference Complete GALE (Multidisciplinary) – Educator’s Reference Complete provides access to academic journals, reports, and many premier reference sources in the field of education. The database includes content in key subject areas including administration, bilingual education, child development and psychology, funding, health education, technology, and testing. The majority of the full-text titles included are also found in the ERIC database.
E-Journals EBSCO (Multidisciplinary) – The E-Journals database provides article-level access for thousands of e-journals available through EBSCO Subscription Services. For users with a valid subscription, EBSCO’s SmartLinks technology provides direct links to publishers’ content.
El Nuevo Día ePaper (Electronic Newspaper) (Use in the CAI) (Multidisciplinary) – The electronic newspaper El Nuevo Día is the online version of the printed copy that is published daily in Puerto Rico. It is for exclusive use in the CAI, request assistance to the librarian.
eLibro (Ebooks, in Spanish) (Multidisciplinary) – It is a collection of electronic resources in Spanish from some 100 leading publishers in the market and whose content is composed of books, manuals, monographs, theses, lecture notes, articles from scientific journals, research and others.
Emerald | Insight (Electronic books and Journals) (Business Administration) – Emerald Group Publishing provides books, journals and teaching cases on a variety of subjects. The Emerald Insight platform provides access to and information about all their online books and journals. It organizes this material into the following subjects: You may browse by subject (see below) and title, as well as search by keyword in a variety of fields such as full text, author, abstract, title, etc. and limit content type, publication date, and access.
Encyclopedia of Life Sciences (Wiley) (Sciences, Health Sciences) – eLS features over 5,000 specially commissioned, peer-reviewed and citable articles in the life sciences and is an essential resource for students. eLS articles are written by leaders in the field to provide comprehensive and authoritative coverage of each subject area. eLS is updated by approximately 400 articles per year, with new articles publishing on a monthly basis.

Fine Arts and Music Collection GALE (Multidisciplinary) – Fine Arts and Music Collection provides access to scholarly journals and magazines that support research in areas including drama, music, art history, and filmmaking. The database emphasizes full-text content for publications included in the Wilson Art Index and RILM bibliography.
Fuente Académica Premier (In Spanish) EBSCO (Multidisciplinary) – Fuente Académica Premier is a rapidly expanding collection of over 570 scholarly journals from Latin America, Portugal and Spain. Full Text Finder (Publication Finder Interface) EBSCO (Multidisciplinary) – It facilitates the localization of titles of electronic and printed journals, with access to the complete text. You can also locate information for publications included in various databases and individual subscription titles. One of its characteristics is the location of titles by themes.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts EBSCO (Multidisciplinary) – Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. MedicLatina (In Spanish) EBSCO (Health Sciences) – MedicLatina is a unique collection of medical research and investigatory journals from renowned Latin American and Spanish publishers. This Spanish language database contains full text for 130 peer-reviewed medical journals in native Spanish.
MEDLINE® OvidSP (Health Sciences, Sciences) – The MEDLINE database is widely recognized as the premier source for bibliographic and abstract coverage of biomedical literature. MEDLINE encompasses information from Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing, as well as other sources of coverage in the areas of allied health, biological and physical sciences, humanities, and information science as they relate to medicine and health care, communication disorders, population biology, and reproductive biology.
MicroJuris (Legal) – This database is a legal research network that includes Puerto Rican jurisprudence and legislation. It contains the cases decided by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, Circuit Court of Appeals of Puerto Rico, Laws of Puerto Rico and Laws of Puerto Rico Annotated. It also accesses regulations of various Puerto Rican public agencies and corporations and has links to law sources in the United States of America and other countries.
NNN Consult (NIC, NOC, NANDA) (Health Sciences) – It is the online tool that allows you to quickly consult the standardized languages of the diagnoses developed by Nanda International (NANDA), the results of the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC), the interventions of the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) and the links between them. OpenDissertations EBSCO (Multidisciplinary) – OpenDissertations is an open-access database built to assist researchers in locating both historic and contemporary dissertations and theses. Created with the generous support of the H.W. Wilson Foundation and the Congregational Library & Archives in Boston, it incorporates EBSCO’s previously released American Doctoral Dissertations, and features additional dissertation metadata contributed by select colleges and universities from around the world. Popular Magazines GALE (Multidisciplinary) – Popular Magazines provides access to the most searched magazines across the InfoTrac products. All of the titles are selected based on actual publication searches performed by library patrons and the database includes many titles recommended by Bowker’s “Magazines for Libraries”.
Power Search GALE (Multidisciplinary) – Gale PowerSearch is a search platform unlike any other, providing libraries with a sophisticated yet simple solution for managing a wealth of periodical, reference, multimedia and primary source information.
